The Most Incredibly Expensive Disney Collectibles and Memorabilia

While many of us are more focused on the collections we can actually acquire, there are plenty of somewhat unattainable Disney items out there. Some of these items are absolutely beautiful and while they might be out of reach, one can still dream. We can often look at some of the items we collect and consider how quickly those prices add up, but the items on this next list don’t even compare. Just one single item is so unbelievably valuable that it could be comparable to the value of a car or even a house. Some of these items can be rather shocking when you see the price that people will pay for just one piece of memorabilia from the magical world of Disney. Cruella De Ville Disney Store Prop ($8,000)

 

While Disney Store has some incredibly cool props that certainly aid to the magical environment, some of these items can go for rather higher prices at auction. For example Cruella was certainly valued rather high when she decided to retire from the Disney store, selling for over $8,000. While it can seem crazy to spend this much for a store prop, it really is a cool piece for anyone who can afford such a high price.

 

Walt Disney World Cinderella Castle Sculpture by Arribas Brothers ($37,500)

 

This incredible sculpture sells on the official Disney website for $37,500. It includes over 28,000 hand set Swarovski Crystals within the walls of this glittering castle. While it is stunningly beautiful, it is clearly only available to those Disney collectors with rather deep pockets. Any fan who can afford this incredible piece of memorabilia, is lucky to possess something so breathtaking. It sparkles in a way that is almost unrealistic, and would certainly be a bragging piece for the lucky persons Disney collection. This is a truly incredible sculpture, representative of the incredible and magical Cinderella Castle at Magic Kingdom. 

 

Charlotte Clark Mickey and Minnie Mouse Dolls ($150,000)

 

Any Plush collectors will be shocked to hear about these pieces, certainly the most valuable and unattainable of all. Minnie is actually wearing a silk dress with real pearl buttons, a part of what makes these even pricier. They were display dolls from the 30’s and sold at auction for quite the astronomical price. While they are amazingly crafted pieces of Disney history…am I the only one who thinks they’re a tiny bit frightening?

 

Mickey Mouse and Goofy Comic Strip ($250,000)

 

Anyone who collects comics knows just how insanely pricey they can become, and this 1956 comic is certainly up there in value. It seems a bit astronomical, but when something is so old and rare, it is hard to argue the price on something so phenomenal.

 

 

 

Signed The Art of Walt Disney Book with Mickey and Donald ($300,000)

 

This piece is so valuable because while both Mickey and Donald are beloved characters, they were rarely sketched together in this way. Also signed by Walt it is an exceptionally valuable and desirable item for Disney fans. It is well worth the price, but let’s face it so is a house…

 

 

 

The Band Concert Film Celluloid ($420,000)

 

This film was released in 1935 as the first time Mickey ever appeared in color, which only aids to it’s incredible value. It sold for this price in 1999, to a fan who clearly wasn’t afraid to pay the big bucks for a piece of Disney memorabilia exclusively owned by them. While it seems absurd to purchase an item like this for such an astronomical price, it only goes to show just how obsessive Disney fans can be. Imagine having this in your collection? It certainly would be a piece to brag about, and something that is one of a kind.

 

 

Celebration Mickey ($4,000,000)

Well worth its weight in gold (100 pounds of it to be exact), this piece is likely the most phenomenal and pricey Disney item. The price tag is incredible high, but the value seems about right considering that it is made of 24k gold. This was created for Disney’s 100 birthday, and is certainly the most shocking item on this list. While it seems absurd for something to be so valuable, it also makes sense all things considered. This huge golden Mickey is certainly the Mickey to beat all Mickeys. The most expensive and shocking item on this list, the Gold Celebration Mickey takes the cake.

 

While some of these items seem a bit absurd, they are valued because of their rarity and extravagance. Disney has never been known for its subtlety, so these incredible collectibles are actually rather fitting. For any true Disney fanatic, just looking at some of these items is enough to make your jaw drop. While many of us could never imagine to obtain one of these pieces, we can certainly enjoy admiring them from a distance. The rest of us will stick to our Funko Pops and pins, but that doesn’t mean we don’t find ourselves in complete awe of the beauty. So many amazing Disney items have continued to climb in value, which is actually comforting in some ways. We can connect with one another over out mutual obsession towards the Mouse that started it all.
