Awaiting games that you desperately want to get your hands on can certainly be frustrating, especially when they keep getting pushed back. Gamers definitely like to keep ourselves aware of new releases, especially since we can often become bored playing through the same games over and over again. Many of the games on this list are ones that fans are anticipating and extremely hyped for. Some of them are sequels to already existing fan favorites, while others are new releases that are proving to be truly breathtaking.

The Last of Us 2

With the original The Last of Us being such an incredibly popular and well-received game, the sequel is incredibly anticipated. It is certainly getting an incredible amount of hype, with fans having a hard time waiting for its release. The short teaser trailers are definitely causing even more of a stir, with our lovable Ellie being all grown up. It looks to have the same hauntingly beautiful feel that the previous game had, which makes anticipation even more intense for fans of the original. Red Dead Redemption 2

Another second installment to an already well-received original game, Red Dead Redemption 2 is set to release in October. God of War

Another incredibly anticipated game, God of War features a father son bond that creates a story for gamers to explore. While you need two people to play, you can do this by inviting others online even if they don’t own the game. You play as two brothers working to escape prison together, taking two-player games to an entirely new level.

With the Marvel games in new hands (Insomniac Games) it seems that fans are really in for a treat. Instead of having to wait for something that will be mediocre, this Spider-Man game is likely to be a truly well adapted gaming experience.

Detroit: Become Human

This game is certainly in the realm of a choose-your-own adventure feel, allowing players to make choices that take you down your own unique path. If you are a fan of story games then this will likely be one you have on your list of must play games. It focuses on rather intense and heartbreaking themes, with characters playing as androids who are struggling to find their place and overcome the humans who are pushing them down.

Days Gone

While this game is another zombie based story game, it still looks like it will be absolutely incredible. With that dark post-apocalyptic reality that everyone adores, characters will follow the story while getting a chance to play through difficult hordes. It does have a similar feel to the Last of Us when you watch the trailer, but seems to take on an entirely different story choice which will be rather interesting to experience.

Vampyr

For fans of both horror and RPG games, this is definitely one to be anticipating. Based on the trailer is proves to be a rather intense and bloody game, which will really amp things up for horror fans. There is no official date set yet, so anyone excited for this game will have to continue to wait.

Ori and the Will of Wisps

Another confirmed title for 2018, this one is a sequel to an already existing fan favorite. With the trailers already leaving fans breathless, this next installment proves to be truly amazing and well worth the wait. With the same heartbreaking feeling, it is likely that gamers will need a box of tissues to play through this one.

Spyro Remastered

While it isn’t a brand new game, the remastering of this incredible series is something that fans are extremely excited for. It will feature 3 Spyro games newly remastered and ready for adventure! Anyone who enjoys playing as Spyro when they were kids, is going to be overly eager to get their hands on this incredible remastering.
