Lion King is one of the most incredibly popular animated films in all of animation history. It continues to live up to its popularity and many collectors just go crazy for any merchandise they can get their hands on. Lion King figures can be surprisingly valuable depending on the rarity and the piece itself. With the live action remake coming out fairly soon, fans of even more hyped to relive the nostalgia of this incredible movie. While there are some very popular Lion King items, there are some truly rare pieces which are very valuable because of this. Disney certainly knows how to create things which are both exclusive and incredible valuable to those of us obsessed with their creations.

Swarovski the Lion King 6 Piece Set- $1,000
This set was released in 2010 along with a series of special lithographs to go along with it. Made with the beautiful Swarovski crystals, these 6 Lion King figures are absolutely breathtaking. It includes Mufasa, Simba, Timon, Pumbaa, The Lion King title plaque and a gorgeous sunset display. The display features a removable colored backdrop and really adds another element to this set. Since it is both rare and incredibly stunning, this piece can sell for over $1,000.
Lion King Sandicast Sculptures by Sandra Brue- $900
This gorgeous set of hand sculpted Lion King figures is truly a masterpiece. The entire set can go for a truly high price, especially if the condition is excellent. Much like any collectible items the more mint the condition, the higher you can sell it for. Finding this complete set still in the box can actually fetch around $900-$1,000 to the right buyer who just cannot wait to snag these incredible beauties for their collection.
Disney Totem Pole Big Fig Statue- $800
This limited edition figure was created for the 10th anniversary of the Lion King in 2004. It is around 2 feet tall and the size plays a big part in its value. Depending on having the original packaging and the condition of this piece, it can sell for $700-$900 to the right collector who cannot live without this incredible wooden style sculpture.
Simba Bronze 20 Year Service Statue on Wooden Base- $700
This was a gift for Disney employees who worked for the company for 20 years and was never available to the general public. Being that it was exclusively given to employees for their 20 years of service to the company, this beautiful bronze statue is both rare and highly valuable. It can sell anywhere from $700-$1,000 and is truly hard to find. It is around 8 inches tall and is truly stunning in its detail and the way it just shines. This piece is both rare and incredibly valuable, making it a very special Lion King item.
WDCC “Life’s Not Fair, Is It” Scar Collectible Figure- $690
This figures from the Classics Collection which started in 1992, is a rather limited run of a gorgeous iconic item. It is from the Walt Disney Collectors Society and is a members only figure. Some of these figures tend to rise more in value depending on just how desirable they have become and how significant the release is. This gorgeous Scar piece is definitely one that is a desirable and hard to come by item, often selling for just under $700.
WDCC “No One Saying See Here” Set- $400
This gorgeous WDCC set features young Simba and Nala along with Zazu. It comes from the iconic scene for “Just Can’t Wait to Be King” and is certainly well crafted piece. This is a numbered and limited edition item which sold just under 2,000 pieces in total. Anything with such a low number and such an exclusive release, is certain to rise in price for true collectors who cannot wait to get their hands on it. This gorgeous set can sell for around $500 or even higher sometimes depending on the collector.
WDCC Simba and Mufasa “Pals Forever”- $300
Another touching and iconic scene from the Lion King, this one features Mufasa and Sumba playing together. It can rise in value depending on condition of the figure and the box it comes in. Most collectors don’t want to pay top dollar for something that does not have all of the pieces in perfect condition, oddly enough this includes the packaging it comes in.
Disney Traditions Birthday Train Sumba by Jim Shore- $120
This absolutely stunning little Simba piece is by the very popular Jim Shore. Many of the Jim Shore collectibles are highly sought after for Disney fans, and so that makes some of his limited pieces truly valuable. After these figures have sold out they can certainly become difficult to come by without paying higher than original market value. This figure is an example of that and can sell for over $100 to the right collector.

This adorable gift set features 12 of the iconic characters from the Lion King, and is certainly one that many kids played with back when it was released. Now that this collectible set is coming on in age, most of them have been misplaced or are seriously showing how well they were loved.
